Keep life simple,

Do not complicate it,

Be for it grateful,

Do not berate it.

Life is a precious gift,

So the grain from the chaff sift,

Live life fully and wholly,

Not to do so will be a folly.

You are here for a day,

So keep your vanities at bay,

Do not be an obstinate bull,

Live life to the hilt, to the full.

Time is a passing wonder,

Do not fritter it away in bluff and blunder,

Soon enough it will be gone,

Howsoever much you whimper and moan.

With positive energy your life suffuse,

To heed to the call of the devil refuse,

With child like innocence live,

A salute to the endless miracles of life give,

Without getting into any unseemly row,

To its thousand mysteries bow!

Keep Life Simple

If someone has not been kind,

Don’t let that unkindness your soul grind.

Just leave it!

If someone has taken you for a ride,

Don’t chaff and that person chide.

Just leave it!

If someone practises ‘ Use and throw’,

With a prayer on your lips for him to grow,

Just leave it!

If someone with self-love is obsessed,

See him as a soul by devil possessed.

Just leave it!

If someone is given to lying,

His own doom is he certainly buying.

Just leave it!

If all the negativity behind you leave,

And a rich tapestry of things positive weave,

Your mind will become a priceless treasure,

And you will be rich beyond measure!

That less is more
Is a fact, not lore.
Less is a blessing,
It needs no false dressing.
Less is so cool,
Not to see it you would be a fool.
In a world driven by more,
Less is so radical
That it is simply magical.
If you embrace less as your goal,
You will be on a roll.
Howsoever disapprovingly greed might mutter,
Less is no pain, no clutter.
Let less be your credo in this excess driven world,
And you will wing through life like a song bird!

ज़िंदगी जीने का कोई बहाना चाहिए

इक खूबसूरत ख़्वाब, दिलकश अफ़साना चाहिए

दूर तक फैली इस सहरा की रेत पे

रूह को तर कर दे वो तराना चाहिए

कौन जाने है आज किसी के दर्द को

हमदर्द था जो दोस्त पुराना चाहिए

नागवार ख़ुदपरस्ती से न कुछ भी होगा हासिल

हर दौर में मोहब्बत का पैग़ाम सुनाना चाहिए

इस वहशी दौड़ में जो गिर गए बे-दम

हाथ दे कर उनको भी बे-शक उठाना चाहिए

दोज़ख़ सी हो गई है जो मुआशरे की हवा

बांध मंसूबा उसे फिर जन्नत बनाना चाहिए

Where, solitary bird, are you headed?

Is your flight all about eternal motion

Or is it the call of the primordial ocean

Or it is the multi-hued sky that is calling

Or the ever glorious sun that you are trawling?

As the splendorous morning heralds a new day,

You go your own unfathomable mysterious way,

Enmeshed in your being sad or gay,

May be to some faraway mysterious land

There with others of your ilk to band,

May be to get out of your daily grind,

And your release, your salvation find,

Or may be to find your elusive mate

Towards whom you beckons your inexorable fate!

तवज्जो दीजिए इस बात पे, करिए गौर

हर बेरंग ज़िंदगी हो रंगों से सराबोर

हर बस्ती में बिखरें ख़ुशनुमा रंग

ऐसा हो हमारा सलीका, ऐसे ढंग

आसमां में बिछती रोज़ रंगों की बिसात

ऐसा ही हो ज़मीं पे, पाएँ ग़मों से निज़ात

रूह में जो उतर जाएं खूबसूरत रंग

मिट जाए हर बदसूरती, ख़त्म हो हर ज़ंग

आओ होली के दिन मांगें ख़ुदा से ख़ैर

मिट जाए हर दरिंदगी, ख़त्म हों सब वैर

रंगों की बरसात करे फ़लक से हर बदरिया

रूहानी रंगों से रंग जाए हमरी देह की चदरिया

यही होली का पैग़ाम, यही इस दिन का सबब

यही सीख ही तो देता दुनिया का हर मज़हब

कौन है जो प्यार के दो मीठे बोल बोलेगा

ज़ख्मों पर लगाएगा मरहम, मन की गिरहें खोलेगा

कौन है जो जान अपना अंतर्मन में झांकेगा

कौन है जो मेरे एहसासों की सही क़ीमत को आंकेगा

कौन है जो मोहब्बत से सहलाएगा मेरा मस्तक

और मुद्दत से बंद दिल के दरवाज़ों पर देगा दस्तक

कौन है जो होगा रूबरू मेरी रूह से जान अपना

कौन है जो रखता है तौफ़ीक़ सच करने की ये मीठा सपना

कौन है हमदर्द जो सुनेगा मेरी ज़िंदगी की नागवार कहानी

जो दिल को देगा सकूँ और मेरी रूह को रवानी

कौन है वो फ़रिश्ता जो इंसानी भेस में आएगा

और मेरे पस्त पड़े हौंसलों को एक नई बुलंदी देकर जाएगा

Look at the spring in all its glory

How it tells its joyous and vibrant story!

How it makes the whole earth come alive

How a thousand dreams does it launch and drive

How every blooming flower becomes a ray of hope

How it exhorts you not to brood or mope

How nature on its vast canvas paints myriad colours so bright

That dispel from the heart every darkness and fright!

Look at this season spreading its ever so luminous wings

How it uplifts you and ever soaring hopes in it rings!

With so much undiluted happiness does it us load

That we can not but see it as unmixed blessing of God!

Plant the seeds of love as you go

Let all your follies and vileness lie low

From your heart let melodious notes flow

In the warmth of your being let everyone glow

Embrace life, warts and all, with open arms

Be the morning sun that the whole earth warms

Live as if today is all you have got

The precious gift of life is so dearly bought

Be a beacon light to all boats adrift at sea

Lend an empathetic ear to every distressed plea

Let celestial music waft up from your soul

That will make all truncated souls whole

With a song on your lips and in every step a spring

मन, तू हिम्मत न हार

अपने भय पर कर प्रहार

हो जाएगा बेड़ा पार

निर्भयता की जोत जला

टल जाएगी हर एक बला

आत्मविश्वास का बना सेतु

कुछ न कर पाएँगे राहु-केतु

दृढ़ निश्चय कर बढ़ जा आगे

देख कैसे सब संशय भागें

तेरे घट में बैठे प्रभु राम

रमा ले मन में उनका नाम

उनकी कृपा को बना ले ढाल

कोई न कर सके बाँका बाल

सद्कर्मों का उद्घोष तू कर

हर सद्गुण को निश्चय कर वर

सबल चरित्र के भर जीवन में रंग

दैवी शक्तियाँ हो लेंगी तेरे संग

ख़त्म होगा भय-भ्रम का फेरा

सफल होगा दुर्लभ जीवन तेरा !
