Let us kindly move beyond the outer rituals associated with Christmas and imbibe its true spirit to lend more meaning to our celebrations and to our lives.
Christmas can be merry
Only when all are well fed
And have a warm cosy bed,
When hunger no longer our land stalks
And everyone with dignity walks,
When wars no more our lives ravage
And people are no longer vicious and savage,
When in the world compassion reigns
And we don’t fritter away our civilisational gains,
When the hearts with love are aglow
And the milk of human kindness does flow,
When we eschew every petty row
And reverentially before nature bow.
Only when peace and harmony hold sway
And we earnestly follow God’s way,
Can we be truly merry and gay.

R/Sir I’ve read the poem and it seems to me that a sensitive person and kind soul can feel the pain and ache of deprived ones. We only can imagine that pain when we experience it in journey of our lives. Some people are unique even though they’ve not experienced. Yet they know the gem of truth and you meet the standard. Hats off Sir
