Thoughtless crowds surge,
Bodies with bodies merge,
There is jostling mad,
Portends a situation grim and bad,
Precious lives at stake,
When will we wake?
Tragedies waiting to happen every day,
Can we out of this sorry mess find our way?
A small trigger, the berserk crowds go to meet a terrible end,
When will we our way back to sanity wend?
Why do we in droves go to court trouble,
When we know life is just a bubble,
Why all the frenzy and the insane dare,
Why to utmost danger your lives lay bare?
I thank my claustrophobia and my sense,
Thank God my mind is not so dense
That I should join hands with the throngs hurtling to their doom,
Thank God in my life there is for wisdom some room!

Very true, Professor Saheb! It has often been seen that herd mentality and following crowds without any thought does lead to disastrous consequences. It is high time that one thinks of the consequences before acting. As they say, look before you leap.

Thanks a lot for responding, brother! Thoughtlessly following the herd is always problematic and can lead to very unfortunate consequences as you have very rightly observed.
