All Our Lives The Tiger Of Disharmony We Ride

In our natures there is a dissonance

That belies all hopes of consonance!

There is an inner harmony we lack

And this disharmony we just can not sack!

It injures us and others,

It makes enemies of brothers!

It leads in our lives to a lot of turmoil,

Its ill-consequences we can not foil!

It makes us injure each other,

Of all our follies it is the mother!

And so we each other go on hurting and harming,

Whereas of love and harmony relations need all possible warming!

This is how our follies us mock,

This is how in the face they us sock!

But we are just too lazy and complacent to ourselves change,

We just refuse to expand of our wisdom the range,

All our lives this tiger of our disharmony we ride,

And give true happiness a berth wide!

Let The Universe Navigate Your Boat

If you depend too much on your analytical mind,

You will likely be caught in a bind!

Your power of analysis will not all your problems solve,

You have to depend on nature to you absolve!

Sidestepping your thinking mind’s guile,

Walk with your problems for a while!

Let your monkey mind go take a walk

While you let the universe to you talk!

If the universal intelligence you trust,

It will many myths about the primacy of your rational mind burst ,

And it will not let your intuition rust!

Let the universe speak to you through your now awakened intuition,

And it will take many of your log jammed issues to fruition!

Let the universe navigate your boat,

Don’t fear that it will in the dark be a shot!

Let the deeper intelligence to you show the light,

Rest assured that it will put you on the path right!

Waiting

Isn’t life much about waiting?

The seed waiting to sprout,

The old tree waiting to die!

The foetus in the womb waiting for birth,

And the decrepit old  waiting to walk into the sunset!

The sick waiting to get up and running,

And the hopelessly sick waiting to defy the end!

The sun waiting to set

And the moon waiting to rise!

The thunder waiting to roar

And the lightning waiting to hit the ground running!

One waiting for good fortune,

And another  apprehending misfortune to strike!

The wave waiting to hit the shore,

And the shore waiting to meet the wave!

The dancer waiting to meet the dance,

And the dance dancer!

The lover waiting for his beloved,

And the beloved pining for her love!

The sage on the mount waiting to meet his Maker

While the Maker waits for the seeker!

It is this waiting for similar or dissimilar ends

That is fascinating,

Pregnant with breath-taking possibilities,

Dotted with uneasy apprehensions,

At times plagued by eerie ill-omens,

With suspense and trepidation suspended mid-air!

In this waiting struts the very uncertainty of life,

Its tenuousness and its propensity to change,

Change that might make or mar!

It is this waiting that holds the key!

Keep Alive Your Sense Of Wonder

Live with a sense of wonder,

Go to the heart of the thunder!

Follow the path of lightning,

And see your own life brightening!

Listen to the constant thumping of your heart,

And see how in keeping you alive it plays a constant part!

Flow with the blood coursing through your veins,

Of understanding the journey will bring you great gains!

Dive deep into the vast oceans,

And be one with the great cosmic motions!

Go deep down into the bowels of the earth,

And see for yourself what the journey has been worth!

Go visit a bird’s intricate nest

And admire its life-preserving creative zest!

Go ride on the back of the blue whales,

And embrace with open arms the gut-wrenching gales!

Go march with the stars in the Milky Way,

And be an awe-struck part of that parade gay!

Keep alive your sense of wonder

If you do not wish the monotony of your frog in the well life your soul to sunder!

Change the Way You Age

Change the way you age,
Why should you and age be on the same page?
Why should you let it you cage?
Don’t let age cow you down,
Don’t let it upon you frown!
Don’t be overawed by this damn thing,
Better you grow wings
And soar high into the sky
Where age upon you can not spy!
Let your spirit always be high,
Why do you give up and cry?
Chin up if you are young at heart,
Living it up at any age is an art!
Let your will and spirit carry you where they will,
Why throw up your hands in despair and sit defeated and
still?
You are what you feel and think you are,
Adopt this mantra and you will go far
Where age will not be able to catch up with you,
However hard it may try or whatever it may do!
Applaud the sage who said that age is just a number,
Why should you allow it to make you numb and number,
Why should you let it make you dumb and dumber?
Defy it and you will win,
Take all its onslaughts on your chin!

While I Wonder Who I Am

Different people see me differently,

Some find me irritating,

Some exasperating!

Some view me kindly,

Others trust me blindly!

Some see me as talented,

Others are convinced that foolishness I have patented!

Some look at me askance,

Others say I induce in them a trance!

Some find me boring and despondent,

Others in me see a witty respondent!

Some claim they know me well,

In others’ minds I ring no bell!

Some think that I exude joie de vivre and guts,

Others say I have simply gone nuts!

Some see in me of truth the light,

Others allege that I yield too easily and give up without a fight!

Some hold me in high esteem,

But I count for nothing in others’ scheme!

Caught up in this maelstrom  of identities, while I wonder who I am,

The world passes by and no one gives a damn!

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.

I am Arun Bhagat from Faridabad,Haryana,India, with a forty year experience of teaching English language and literature in three different colleges including DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, where I hung up my boots less than a year ago. I love pouring out my heart in the form of poetic compositions on any subject or issue that touches my heart and stirs me deep down somewhere. Have written about 200 poems till now and continue writing new ones and I am loving every bit of this creative writing experience which I find not only enriching and fulfilling but cathartic as well. I would love a wide spectrum of people to engage with and respond to what I write.
