You are on Earth Just for a While

You are on earth for just a while

Walk for someone an extra mile

Plant the seeds of love as you go

Let all your follies and vileness lie low

From your heart let melodious notes flow

In the warmth of your being let everyone glow

Embrace life, warts and all, with open arms

Be the morning sun that the whole earth warms

Live as if today is all you have got

The precious gift of life is so dearly bought

Be a beacon light to all boats adrift at sea

Lend an empathetic ear to every distressed plea

Let celestial music waft up from your soul

That will make all truncated souls whole

With a song on your lips and in every step a spring

Nothing richer to your sojourn through life you can bring.
