Love glows like a glow-worm in the night,
Everything about it is so beautiful and right!
With its ethereal magic it your life suffuses,
To entertain any thought of hate it just refuses!
For every wounded soul it is the healing balm,
It keeps you so centred and calm!
Like love there is no blessing other,
Of all positive emotions it is the fount and the mother!
To every dark forbidding night it is the day,
Of hope and succour it is the eternal ray!
It is the rain to our parched hearts,
It tides over all our blemishes and warts!
So very subtly it weaves its magical charm,
It keeps our heart so alive and warm,
With others our relations it so nurtures,
It is the mainstay of all beautiful cultures,
It is what a mother is to her small vulnerable child,
It is the tamer of all feelings violently wild,
It is our very succour and life line,
It pulls us out of the mire of I, my and mine!
So why not embrace love without much ado,
Why not make it our badge of honour and credo?
It is only love which can sustain us and nurture,
It is only love that can keep at bay of negativity every vulture,
It only love that can cleanse our lives of all dross,
It is only love that can make us bear our every Cross!
