Age is just a number,
So snap out of your despondent slumber!
Don’t let just a number put you down,
Cock a snook at it and let it just helplessly frown!
Keep your collars up and your spirit high,
Don’t let any gloomy thought let your creative juices run dry!
Life is waiting for you with open arms,
Open your heart to its still unfolding charms!
Even if it is a race against time, run it with all you have got,
Don’t let age put you in any silly straitjacket or slot!
On the wings of zest into the sky soar,
Don’t let your creaking joints on your spirit cold water pour!
Smart and dapper, strut on the stage of life
Even when the rumours of your impending end are rife!
Remember that you are as young and vibrant as you feel,
That is the best way with your age to deal!
Like a luminescent glowworm on a dark night glow,
That is the best way to age deal a death blow!
