Do Not Stand By My Picture And Grieve

Do not stand by my framed half portrait and shed a tear,

Somehow somewhere my mortal coils still I wear.

I am the sparkle in your eyes

Which start shining in a trice.

I am the smile hovering over your lips,

I am there to give you on life some absorbing tips.

I am the love that inside you wells up,

I am there at the table with you to sup.

I am there as your conscience-keeper,

Of the crop of your good deeds I am the reaper.

I am the bounty that inside you feel,

I am there to steer you towards your welfare and weal.

I am the twinkling star in the sky

That reaches out to you without any what and why.

I am the book you continue to read,

I am there to stand by you in your every hour of need.

I am of your garden the fragrant flower,

I am the shady tree in your bower.

I am the one who still with you walks,

I am the one who still you out of your troubles talks.

So do not stand by my picture and grieve,

I am always by your side even if you me disbelieve!

    1. Thank you very much, Ma’m! For human beings, coming to terms with death is always a big challenge and we deal with that challenge in our own different ways!
