On Redeeming Our Humanity

If we  have to hate someone,

Let us hate ourselves for all our pettiness,

All our narrow confines of the heart,

All our self-love bordering on insanity,

All our callous disregard for various life forms,

All the thuggery of our knavish mind,

All the priceless  things we  have taken for granted,

All our inflated ego that brooks no other way but ours , 

All the   needless hurt we have caused others and ourselves ,

The anger that is eating into vitals vitals,

All our fecklessness and moral somersaults.

Let us hate ourselves for these so that we give ourselves

A chance to become a better version of ourselves ,

A chance to redeem our humanity and our  soul!
