Count friends as God’s special blessings,
They are nature’s finest dressings!
They are always there to prop you up,
Heavenly it is with them to share yourself and sup!
With them around, you are always on cloud nine,
With them around, everything is just fine!
They are our reservoir of laughter and mirth,
With them hailing us, we realise our worth!
They are the rich reward for our good deeds,
Bestowed with such treasure, what else one needs?
They wrap their arms around us in good and bad,
In the company of a friend, who can be down and sad?
Hug your friends and thank them on this Friendship Day,
Without them you might have floundered and lost your way!
