There are Still More Skies to Reach

Age is just a number

Get out of your slumber

Don’t let age weigh you down

Don’t on passing years frown

You are what you think you are

Gird up your loins, you will yet go far

What matters is your spirit gung-ho

There are still miles upon miles to go

There are still more skies to reach

You have still so much to learn and teach,

And to soak in the beauty of many a sun-kissed beach.

Don’t please go out with a whimper,

Did you get the gift of life to whine and simper?

To make the most of what you have you were born

To live life to the hilt you are sworn

Chart you course through life after your fashion

Live every moment with zeal and passion.

Your life is a jewel in the crown,

Why should you then in wanton sorrow drown?

Plunge into the vortex of life with all your might

Be a doughty warrior and till the last breath fight

Fight with all you have for greater glory

Let through the annals of time ring your fascinating story!
