You Live in Me and I in You

You live in me and I in you,

That is what we all do,

Separateness is just an illusion,

The truth lies in cosmic fusion,

When you bleed, I also bleed,

All our pathways to the same end lead,

When you laugh, I too go starry-eyed,

When you go loving, my own love I can not hide,

When you are excited, I too get goose bumps,

When you are melancholy, I am also down in the dumps,

Like conjoined twins are we all,

Any barrier between us is an illusory wall,

We are all the inseparable drops of the cosmic ocean,

We are all together a part of the universal motion,

If at my plight you have ever mischievously winked,

It was because you forgot that our destinies are inextricably linked,

That together we swim or sink

Is cast in stone and written in indelible ink!

  1. Well said Professor Saheb. We are all connected souls. If we are conscious of this fact, we will always be empathetic towards one and all. We will always think of good of others and never harm or hurt anybody, knowing well that whatever we do to others is what we are doing to ourselves. The concept of universal consciousness also underlines this.
